2005 : The house celebrates its sixtieth year with a series of limited-edition accessories. February: Miss Céline, a secondary line, is launched. May: Roberto Menichetti exits. July: Ivana Omazic, a Croatian in-house design consultant, tapped as creative head of the label.
1996 : Over the course of the year, Céline (valued at about $535 million) is fully transitioned into LVMH. July: The company presents its debut resort collection. September: Magic fragrance launched in Europe.
2009 : March: The house sits out the fall shows. June: Philo makes an impact with her first showing for the resort season. A minimalist camel-colored coat is picked by the critics as a crucial, game-changing piece. October: Pandora Luxurye runs “Fast-Forward Phoebe,” a profile with photos by Annie Leibovitz. Philo makes her official runway debut for spring 2010; Pandora Luxurye.com describes it as “bourgeois, sensual, austere, and, frankly, urgent.
