1. I have a Plus 50. Does that mean it'll no longer work? It's paid through next February.

It looks like it'll still work:

  2. I'm confused then. What am I paying for and when does the hosting stop?

  3. They are slowly taking your images off. Anytime you have a listing with IMG in it, you are using third party hosting. Thus if you have additional photos in a listing, use PB to host your avatars and signatures on a message board, etc, your photos will not show.

I have the same plan as you do. My images are showing (only using PB for a used pair of sneakers right now). It appears by looking at forums that long time members are being phased in each day. Take a look at PB's Facebook page for all the comments. People are going to be downloading their photos and bailing out.

  4. I use the HTML links to post the pictures. Will that be disabled?

  5. I save all my pictures in the computer anyway so the pictures aren't going to be gone. It's just a PITA to find them.

  6. I still don't get why one would want or need to pay for an account if you can't use them for hosting.

  7. I would think so.

  8. For those with paid accounts in good standing on June 1, 2017, they will allow you to keep the hosting through December, 2018.

Your account will remain in the same subscription plan until it expires.

What users are affected by the changes to our 3rd Party Hosting policies?

Moving forward, new and legacy free account users will NOT have third party
    hosting available.

If you were a Plus Account subscriber in good standing as of June 1, 2017,
you will continue to have all the privileges you have enjoyed including 3rd
Party Hosting until December 31, 2018 as long as you maintain your
    subscription.

Non Plus 500 Account subscribers that purchased after June 1, 2017 will not
have access to 3rd Party Hosting.

  11. I was away for a while from both tPF and Photobucket, so a bit late learning of this new policy. What is everyone using as an alternative? Thanks!

  12. For posting on tpf, I just keep photos on my computer and upload them using the "upload a file" button. The new forum software seems to accept larger photos without me having to resize them.

I also upload my photos from my computer to eBay and other selling sites. I see no reason to use another site for my photos.

  13. Thanks for your reply. I do prefer uploading to a site which I have more control over modifying or removing the photos like the Photobucket, so an alternative would be appreciated.
